This is imho absolutely inappropriate...10 points for something that didnt put anyone in danger? I would accept that if the maneuver caused some collision however if you cause an accident (as us in first round - we have lost 5 points) which is much serious rule violation than crossing pitlane line...if you check it during race and the team is given DT ..that would be the best solution...few seconds loss but not penalty practically more than lap considering final points...
or 2 points for this but not 5 |
ja si myslim ze trest je adekvatni a opravneny. je to jedno ze zakladnich pravidel a oni ho porusili a je jedno jestli nekoho ohrozili nebo ne.

I don't mind us being penalized, but what I do mind is the fact that several other (and far more serious) violations are being ignored.
Just to mention a few; - The contact made between some cars on the grid, during the start of the warm-up lap - The car that ran out of fuel and was pushed back to the pits, causing the safety-car to be deployed - and the car even gets points for the round - People speeding before green flag is waved (just look at J. Stach on AS5R) And it seems like there is no balance between the penalties and the incidents. I mean, come on. 5 point penalty for crossing the line (without us even being even close to causing any hazard for the other cars on track)? Isn't that a bit harsh? A time penalty would be more appropriate (DT, SG, whatever). I can ram a car off the track or overtake under SC and still just get away with a 5 point penalty - this is ridiculous. Why are you only using point deduction penalties? Why not do it like in the real world, and actually use time penalties instead? The car that ran out of fuel should get no points for this round. And the driver should have spectated immediately, as it is stated in the rules. And by the way, the rules says nothing about crossing the exit line during the race (atleast not in the translated ones) - it only states that it is prohibited to cross it during the qualification. |
wildstyle, I have to support you even though I should shup up and keep the pace as it has nothing to do with me...
there is really nothing about crossing yellow line during race in english version but the last sentence can contain this rule even though it is very general: "you can lost your points if you do anything forbidden or unfair." however in czech version of the rules in paragraph RACE there is stated: "P?ejetí žluté ?áry na konci pitlane bude trestáno penalizací „Pr?jezd boxovou uli?kou“." which means you get DT if you cross yellow line on pitlane exit and as I said above...that is imho appropriate penalty... 5 points for causing collision and 5 points for basically not doing anything dangerous isnt what I call justice and for the record - I am not trying to be a dick ... just want to make a point |
The problems with after-race penalties, the lack of mid-race observation/racecontrol, tracker, startprocedures a.s.o + all of this unorganized czech-talk parallel to the official LFSforum thread is something that makes you not wanting to participate in the upcoming races.

No oficiální patch má vyjít v pátek nebo v sobotu, takže by nebyl problém s novým patchem.
